The Mission of Creative Learning 4 Kids, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, is to provide academic evaluations and one-on-one tutorial assistance to children in financial need by obtaining grants from foundations, local companies, and private individuals.

Kim and her 14 year old daughter, Samantha have struggled together to make their way through the maze of public school rules and regulations governing special education. Samantha has dyslexia, but until 5th grade, it had been undiagnosed by the varied schools she attended. Creative Learning suggested that Samantha be tested. She was evaluated by the school as having “tendencies” toward dyslexia.

About Us

In 1999, Jan Van Blarcum, Ph.D. founded Creative Tutors. As an educator, Dr. Van Blarcum understood the importance of personalized attention in a child’s educational growth. Her passion for learning grew into a business endeavor that provides customized, one-on-one, in-home tutoring to children with a variety of learning needs. Every child receives personalized attention from certified/degreed educators.

A desire to provide these same quality services to children of all economic levels led Dr. Van Blarcum to open Creative Learning 4 Kids that same year. Using the same tutor pool of professional educators working with Creative Tutors, Creative Learning is able to provide the highest quality services to economically disadvantaged or at-risk children. Creative Learning was awarded temporary 501(c)(3) status and began serving children immediately. Through hard work and determination, Creative Learning has received its permanent 501(c)(3) status. This relatively young, non-profit charity is now positioned to serve many more children in need.

Board of Directors

Creative Learning strives to find community involved individuals from a variety of industries to serve on our Board of Directors. We are accepting letters of interest from community leaders who would like to become involved in improving the educational resources available our children.
